I just installed this with my existing Vera system and everything went very smoothly and it's exactly what I wanted. To install it with Vera, I had to tell Vera that I'm adding a "shared Z-Wave device". ", but after that everything was perfect. He realized it was a dome siren and immediately added two objects to my panel: a siren and a horn. The siren just turns on/off and can be manually controlled from the panel triggered or linked to triggers. It's loud enough to be heard through a solid door 20 feet away, but I'm considering putting a second one upstairs. Or maybe I just need to fiddle with the settings to see whether there are louder volume options. But the best thing is the bells. The "bell" device has 10 small buttons on the dashboard, each of which makes a different sound signal, such as a chime, a horn, etc. So I wrote a scene that is triggered when you open one of my doors and windows and attaches it to the bell so I have an easy signal to let me know something has opened It's not too loud to hear to scare someone. I'll update this as I use it more and will try to comment on the battery life.
