Review on πŸ”¬ Dino-Lite AM2111-0.3MP USB Digital Microscope: High Optical Magnification with LED Illumination by Timothy Cole

Grainy image quality.

Poor resolution for a digital microscope - it's grainy at the full 640x480 resolution, making the fine details I need to observe almost invisible. There are better microscopes. To make matters worse, the software disables many of its most useful features if you have one of their bottom endoscopes. Since I need to observe and measure an angle I now need to save the image and then transfer it to Photoshop where I have a template that gives me the angles I need to compare. There's no excuse for disabling these advanced features, and given the poor image quality, it's hardly a good advertisement for an upgrade to their higher-end oscilloscopes. avoid it Instead, I'm looking at Andonstar's USB microscopes, which cost $55 (on a certain auction site), have 2MP resolution and up to 500x magnification, which is over 2.5x this one corresponds to the model. My colleague uses this microscope for the same purposes as me, so I know it will work properly. Opti-tek OT-V1TM by Andonstar
