Review on ๐Ÿšด High-Performing Jagwire Sport SS Gear Cable - 2300mm Length by Sean Carter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good enough.: Sport

They are fine. They are smooth and rust free. However, they are easily bent, which complicates their installation. Their slim body (1.1mm, OD) causes some compression in the body, but the derailleurs shift well (STI, Shimano 105, 10 speed). However, I would not install it again. I would recommend them if they were 1.2mm and my shifter cables wouldn't move when shifting. Okay, review the change. It turned out that my LBS had a Shimano OT SP40 (for friction shifting, coiled cable) fitted to my road bike, causing erratic movement in my drivetrain and shifters. I replaced the cable housing with an OT SP41 (for indexed shifting) and reused that cable for the derailleur and there doesn't seem to be any friction during shifting. Also, the old housing created a lot of friction within the cable housing, shifter linkage, and derailleur linkage. The new housing and cable solved the problem quickly and efficiently. I think it was my fault for the bad rating but this cable is good quality. I still prefer 1.2mm for durability though. Wire shift, not 1.1. Overall good value for money. Sent quickly.
