My wife wanted a radio for her desk at work that was simple in design and supported stereo headphones. This RadioShack radio seemed to be right. Received at home, tested, works great. She hired him the next day and again did a great job. So we threw the box away. On the third day it turned on, but the volume, even at maximum volume, was so low that it was barely audible in either the radio speaker or headphones. But it's not a kicker! Not only was the volume toast, he couldn't tune into ANY station! Couldn't pick up any of the local FM, AM stations or even the weather. I don't know what cheap components the Chinese use these days, but they are NOT the same components that would have been used in a 'real life' RadioShack many years ago. You should refrain from buying this radio. It doesn't cost 39 cents, let alone $39.
