. The first thing I used were some rotted skid plate bolts on my truck. The salt corrosion is so severe that the heads round off before I can apply any real torque to them. After putting them on my 3/8" percussion pistol, I was able to pull one of these immediately. The next one blew the head off the bolt. Annoying, but that's not because of the tools. It just shows how much torque I could muster. Using them I was able to lower the skid plate and get it out of the way to drill out the rest of that bolt. I like these. I bought an expansion kit in case I need them in the future. All Irwin extractors seem great.
