I just installed about 800 square feet of laminate flooring in my apartment. I needed two felt cushions for some Persian rugs I bought about 25 years ago. This pillow was excellent. The size was real and the shape appeared to be an exact rectangle. They feel comfortable under carpets. I really couldn't ask for more. Because the felt slides over the laminate, we added non-slip PVC sheeting to some corners exposed to foot traffic and it stopped the sliding. I also bought a smaller rug. and cut it into pieces to put under the bookshelves that are on the floor - all the drawers were 18" x 39" and I cut pieces of that size for each bookshelf. This added extra protection to the floor, but also allowed me to slide the bookshelves onto the laminate (part of juggling laying the floor half a room at a time) to get it out of the way and then finally have it in Final to put resting place. It paid off today as I pulled out a 6 foot tall bookshelf to reconnect the wireless router, switch, cable modem and WD cloud drive I have on top of the bookshelf. Much lighter than carpet and much lighter than laminate without felt.
