Tank bags sit lower on the back and don't offer enough cooling, and then you're dealing with tanks that are harder to fill and painful to clean. very handy, holds a standard bottle (I've used bottles up to 29oz which are easier to take) and has extra space for gels, phone etc. Highly recommend. I'm always surprised I don't see more people using them.
