Works in my microscope!
I recently bought an old Bausch & Lomb microscope on ebay and the bulb in the base of the microscope blew out. This is a very small but oddly shaped standard Edison socket bulb and I found this LED bulb on a Revain that has exactly the same physical dimensions but was a little dimmer. It worked great!
