Review on Flexi Vario Soft Stop Belt Leash: Superior Control and Safety for Your Pet by Phil Casey

I have had this "soft stop" for over a year now and use it with "large" ("perfect for large dogs up to 110 pounds"). Flexi Vario 26' tape for my 42lb standard poodle. This belt has enough (not much) power to absorb a hit if he starts chasing something (which, fortunately, he rarely does now). The "final hit" when knocked down briefly feels much better in my hand (and I'm sure on his neck) than the sudden stop hit when using the original strap with no preload. However, what I love most about this harness is that my dog has enough time when ready to go inside to put that piece of leash in his mouth to walk me home. His teeth slice through, slicing through the tape itself (the tape can be cut cleanly and a new end loop sewn in to reattach it to the snap end of the tape) as he grabs it and chews. But this buckle strap has withstood up to 16 months of such treatment with minor damage and is still working.
