Review on 📏 DTAPE DT50 Laser Measure 165ft: Portable, 50M Distance Meter with Backlit LCD Display & IP54 Rating by Tim Harris

I'm both a structural engineer and contractor and contractor. A few years ago I tried a laser meter, it had too many bugs, wasted money to buy it. Now I thought the technology could improve and tried to buy one again. The first one was big, heavy, but the readings are different every time you press the measure button, even at the same distance, I had to return this block.2. Then I tried another, every time the device was turned on it always set one per meter. I mostly use ft+in, not meter. I had to long press the unit button 2 to switch to the unit I wanted, it was not convenient for one to return.3. Tried another one, it worked fine but it didn't have a foot + inch unit but had other 3 units: feet, inches and meters, although the website clearly says it had a foot + inch unit, had to return. 4. The way it is presented is that the letters are light and the background is dark. It works well indoors but can't read outdoors during the day when I need to take measurements most of the time. Had to return.5. Different unit, all perfect, but the measurement result is about 1/4 inch different, sorry. This device, DTAPE 100, is ideal: 1. Super accurate (see photo), almost no errors at about 6 feet (2.122 meters), errors <0.5mm, ie <0.5mm/2000mm = 1/4000 = 0.025%. In English units <0.5/16 inch, that's more than enough for my work.2. High resolution result. In inches: This is 1/16 inch; 3 decimal places are read in feet; In the miter, 3 digits are read after the point, that is mm; in feet + inches, it also reads 1/16 of an inch. The best on the market.3. Whichever unit I set, turn off, turn on again, the same unit remains; 4. The display is easy to read both indoors and outdoors even in strong sunlight; 5. Small size and light weight; 6. Very good guide, well written; 7. Measures a long distance, even in the daytime, can reach 300ft - it is not easy to see the laser dot in bright daylight - this is a common problem in all laser measuring tools.8. Want: angle indicator, bubble levels, reflective radiance indicator, better carrying case. but all this is not important and is not necessary to use it as a gauge. I highly recommend this model but not all other models.
