Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Enhance Cool Performance with Noctua NA-HC3 chromax.Black.swap Heatsink Cover for NH-D15, NH-D15S & NH-D15 SE-AM4 (Black) by Aaron Schultz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lacks RGB, high quality and looks very "grown up ".

They improve the looks of what may be the best air cooler on the market. They are overrated for what they do as they lack aesthetics. However, they are well made and easy to assemble. If they integrate the ARGB strips into the plastic parts that attach to the heatsink, they could really succeed here. The price is partly justified by the quality of the materials, the ease of installation and the attention to detail. From small pieces of rubber that prevent the lid from snapping with magnets, to easy-to-install clips that hold the plastic part with magnets on top of the supports. It's just that while it would have been great even 10 years ago, it seems oddly useful and "handy"? In the era of RGB bling, this seems out of place. It comes with translucent colored plastic strips and I plan to modify the plastic caps to include some RGB if I can find inexpensive ARGB strips small enough to fit under the caps. These lids are probably best for systems where you're color coordinating a system that doesn't use a lot of RGB, a more grown up look if you want. It decorates the cooler not only from above, but also really great on the sides. I'm going to do some sort of mod for them, the way they fit and the covers work seems to require a bit of jewelry as you can hide the wires under the covers.
