Review on 🐠 Sera Flore Active CO2 Reactor 1000 – Ideal for Aquariums Over 160 Gallons by Jenna Hawkins

Integrated external reactor or diffuser?

I've been reading my landscape about different ways to pressurize CO2 assets and everyone seems to have an opinion. Here is my. I bought a large sera, a large max mix and an integrated porous core UP cone. I have Fluval 406, UP seemed the most logical to me, small, comfortable, no moving parts. Inexpensive. If you use it with your canister filter I say NO. I believe this is a biological filter and I clean the first stage sponges once a month with 25% water changes and clean the rest of the filter when the exhaust is stressed. When I added this to the built-in conduit, the outlet water had to flow through porous rock with very little surface area, which would put a lot of strain on a river machine. sera and max mix are almost identical in design, as long as they are straight and all air pockets are removed they are silent, bubble free, 100% efficient, both have crappy connectors, when using a ribbed flow hose I chose mix max from filter outlet and maximum mix amount decidedly placed at the top of the tank, exits at right angles so I'm not worried about leaks, and if noise bothers you, it's submerged in water. Another option I haven't tried is to use an optional water pump with at least 180 GPM and leave the filter alone. After purchasing 3 CO2 output sources, 2 of which are stored in memory. I was ready to just enjoy the wonder of CO2 on plant growth.
