Review on Picador Ski Goggles PRO Over The Glasses With Detachable Dual Layer Anti-Fog Lens For Women And Men by Matt Woodward

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice peripheral vision and bug shield

We have several pairs of goggles that we use primarily for riding ATVs around farmland, woods, and swamps. For those of you who ride ATVs, you know what it's like when your riding along and you go straight into those swarms of gnats. You end trying to rub those things out of your eyes for the next 10 minutes and they are burning the whole time. It's really bad when your riding with family/friends down those dusty farm rows and your face soaks up everything thrown at you. Goggles have a short life expectancy with us due to the extreme dirt, dust, bugs, and mud. These goggles provided by Picador are definitely nicer when compared to our other motley assorted collection. After taking them out and giving them a test run, the feature I probably like the best is the wider curved lens design that allows for better peripheral vision. I didn't feel like my eyes were as closed in with these and that made for a better experience. The cushiony foam around the frame made them comfortable to wear and there is plenty of adjustment in the strap for wearing a helmet as well. There are 3 lines of gripping material on the inside of the strap that will keep it from riding up on your helmet too. Air vents are strategically placed on the lens, and upper/lower part of the frame to assist with fogging issues. I expected the shiny and mirror like lens to be toast after slamming into some bugs at 45 mph but they wiped off easily and the scratch resistance is doing it's best to resist for now.The goggles do a wonderful job of protecting your eyes from the glare of the sun, but unfortunately they became a bit too dark to wear in the late afternoon. I had to switch over to a clear lensed older pair as it got later in the day. Doing so made me realize how much more comfortable these are. My only concern with these for ATV riding is how hot they will feel during the summer. They are definitely bigger and cover a larger area of the face.A very nice bonus with these goggles is that they come with a protective case that can be zipped up, an additional "sock" pouch for storage, and a cleaning cloth. I am pleased with the fit, build, and design of the goggles. I wouldn't have a problem recommending them to some of my other ATV riding friends as well. I'll try them out as the weather warms up but I might just be reserving them for colder seasons.I was provided these at a discount for an honest review. My opinions are my own and are based on my initial impressions and experiences while using and testing the product.
