Review on Stromberg Carlson LG-196308 High-Performance Motor, 6,500 Lb Load Capacity, 5,430 RPM by Mike Bogan

One of the jack motors that came with Atwood jacks on my 1997 Lance camper failed. I faced a $4,000 bill to upgrade to a brand new set of 4 bushings. and the need to adapt them as they can no longer buy parts or even a brand new lift suitable for pre-2019 Lance campers. However, this Stromberg motor can be easily modified to fit perfectly!. You only need to cut 4 legs slightly (leave 1/8 inch length; I used a hacksaw and flat file). and extend 2 wires. I love the engine so much I am now swapping the other 3 on my camper so they are all in the same new condition and also run at the same speed. Speed is slightly faster than the original Atwoods, and the gear case is metal (as opposed to the nylon and plastic originals). so it looks pretty thick.
