I got this as my family's first candle making experience. It comes with everything you need to make four 4 oz. Candles in beautiful glasses. All you need to provide is a steamer and sharp scissors to trim the wicks. We liked two flavors, loved one and loved the fourth. You only need to use half of the color block (for each candle) to get a nice rich color. This process was an easy way for us to get some candle making skills that we can now use to make more candles. The kit may seem expensive, but when you consider that not only are you making four gift-quality canned candles, but you also have reusable supplies (watering can, thermometer) as well as leftover materials (enough wick and wax). make at least 3 small votive candles) I think it's worth the price. If you were to buy the gear and packs of all the materials you would probably spend at least the same and you would need to research the process. This kit walks you through the steps so you know what to do. I only have two problems: first, the instructions leave room for error since they tell you to use a color block. (Each color is in a block with a hole in the middle. We were wondering if they wanted to use the whole block or split each block in two and use one of those blocks. We did the latter and decided to use our two blocks to make candles of the same color.) Second, we're so broke that this company doesn't sell their fragrances separately. We liked the Coconut Lime and Clean Cotton flavors and wanted to buy more. I know there are many flavors, but liking them is always a game.
