I did not purchase this brush to clean dryer vents, I used it to clean bathroom vents. It works very well in my usage. I had 3 exhaust vents in the bathroom and an exhaust vent above the kitchen stove which were often used by birds! After years of watching and laughing at birds, I finally realized how much of the airflow they had blocked with their built nests and other debris. By removing the outer cover from the vent and inserting the rod, I was able to attach the brush to the inside of my house and pull it out through the vent. I estimate that the first pull in each of the vents removed 80% of the contents of the vent. I just put the rod back into the vent line and reattached the brush inside the house. I would say it came out 15 percent more. I then used an air hose pushed through from the inside to remove ALL THE REMAINS. This brush and stick certainly worked very well for my intended use! A NOTICE. All of my vent lines were straight. No corners.
