Avoid - grossly inaccurate, lives its own life

Laugh all you want but I love everything Swiss and despite the negative reviews I decided to give this scale a try. Was actually determined to get it working as it has the Swiss flag on the front. I figured as long as I use it constantly to track groceries, even if it's a little off, the discrepancy wouldn't be significant enough to matter. I've been using the scale since March and I'm finally fed up. Avoid this in the interest of your own health! Here are my requirements: 1. Not exactly for low weight! If you add things slowly, the weight won't change if it's less than 30 grams. This is important as even 15g of pecans can change my macros. If I weighed all the pecans at once, the weight would register better, although still not very accurately (I had to reweigh them several times, knowing for sure that 10 half pecans can't weigh just 5g). On the other hand, if I wanted to add something more slowly (like weighing pecans, breaking them up into smaller pieces, and then adding them to my salad), the weight wouldn't change at all. Or, if I've made a mix of oatmeal with some other seeds and lentils, adding the ingredients a little slower doesn't work - and I'm having real trouble getting the grains out of the mixing bowl! 2. It is almost impossible to zero the scale with the plate on it. Sometimes I spent 2-3 minutes pressing the "button" (there is no physical button but the range of sensitivity) to only see weight change around different numbers as a result EXCEPT zero.3. The lack of physical buttons is quite frustrating - not only is it a problem resetting the scale, but it's an accidental change to a different measurement (ml, ounce or pound) and again I'd have to spend minutes trying to get it. back to grams.4. Accidental zeroing INDEPENDENT. So if you're about to add individual pieces of the same product, it's a good idea to note the weight after each addition so you get the right amount. Or, as a workaround, weigh the ingredients separately in bulk. I love making salads on the fly and don't want to juggle different plates/containers. I also like to remove meat from chicken/turkey, but only as much as I need for my macros, so weighing a piece with bones in it to avoid removing more than I need won't work. I lived with the 4 frustrations listed above for 4.5 months and finally had enough when the following happened: 5. As you can see from the video, he started changing his weight at random! This isn't the first time either.6. I usually make about the same salad about 5 days a week, so I know roughly how much my usual amount of lettuce, cottage cheese, meat and peaches should weigh. There's no way what looks like +/- 150g of lettuce can only weigh 20g. Or what looks like +/-150g curds might only weigh 80g or what looks like +/-400g sliced peaches might only weigh 200g The batteries in the scale are fairly new so this oddity is definitely not dead batteries. Don't waste your money buying this junk.
