I have had a food dryer for over 30 years and it has done a great job drying vegetables. In January 2019 my family gave me the Magic Windmill for my birthday - my god what a joy to use it almost constantly since I took it out of the box. SS baskets can be washed in the dishwasher immediately after drying meat or sticky fruit. We've fallen in love with dried Fuji apples, we make sliced sweet potatoes as dog treats, dried veggies for powdered smoothies, soups and salad dressings. I now have jars of dried vegetables for soups when the store has wilted food. Finally we can make jerky with pure ingredients! This is a huge benefit as my husband is a wildfire fighter in the summer and high quality, high calorie food is a must. The only downer is that there may be a few recipe ideas for beginners in the operating instructions. I plan to take this valuable tool to our RV when we travel to work remotely - it's a real bonus - food dryers run on 120 volts making them easy to use in the RV! an elderly woman can easily lift and move the device.
