I finally have my grinder. I need to use up all the wheat flour I already have. Initial cleaning is easy, just wipe all parts clean. I collected it back and ground 2 cups of grain. It just kills me, I have to throw it away but the metal shavings have to be scraped off. But it showed me how good the flour would be. I compared it to the whole wheat flour I bought. I can't tell the difference. Scrolling takes some time but is not difficult. I only give 4 stars because the plastic handle on the handle has come loose. It turns on instantly, but I'm not sure about the durability. UPDATE: I've used a grain mill a few times before. First of all I would like to say that I will not go back to pre-milled flour if I can. Freshly ground flour is so useful that it's worth grinding on the go. Now about this device. There are a number of issues to consider before purchasing. The plastic handle slips off easily, your foot struggles to keep the grinder on the countertop, and the manual grinding process is slow. At the same time, the quality of the flour produced is excellent. And the fact that it takes time and effort can be considered gym time. I have found that the connection to the recipe ingredients makes me appreciate the result much more. I raise goats for milk and chickens for eggs. I live next to a wheat field, but I can't easily gather anything, so I have to do the next best thing and grind my flour. Overall I would recommend this grinder because it is economical.
