I am very disappointed with how ineffective these strips are! I bought these to test the PH of the water in the new house I bought. After checking and seeing a PH of 6, I bought a $1,500 water neutralizer to raise the PH to keep the copper tubing from corroding. One of my last houses had a water pH of 6, which I corrected with a neutralizer, so I had no problem installing it in my new house to stop leaks in the pipes before they appeared. After setting the neutralizer and backwashing for a few days, I took out these strips and tested the water again. I was shocked when it read 6. I thought the converter was defective and spent days trying to figure out if I had set something wrong. I decided to buy another PH tester and in fact my tap water was 8 and my pre-neutralizer water was 7. This means I didn't have to spend $1500 on a neutralizer and these test strips are defective. Don't trust this strip!
