I made the mistake of not setting it on target before leaving home so I had to set it to Trail. Note that the deflator mechanism is a little clumsy at times, although not accurate. Even though I adjusted/drained it to 15psi on the first day, it only went up to 17psi on the second day. I had to open the valve and deflate for about 5 seconds before the tire pressure dropped to 15. Luckily my jeep has a tire pressure monitoring system so someone was in the car watching the PSI drop. It could have been a little more annoying if I had to constantly remove the deflator and check the PSI. I suspect Japanese/German made (double/triple price) deflators won't have this problem, but I'm pretty happy with the $30 unit. The carry case is a bonus, the included pressure gauge was great too. But I didn't realize it didn't have a battery until I got to the trail. Blame it on the FBA's strict battery rules, but I'll live. All in all a much nicer experience than other deflators that remove the core. The difference is that another type of deflator allows you to cut the stem threads when you put it back in. Therefore, constantly removing and installing the core is not a good idea. With that, you literally plug in 4 deflators, hop in the car to enjoy a song or two, and you should be done.
