I've played 1 round of game golf and I really like it. I used to try to track my laps using different phone apps (latest SkyCaddie). But I find multiple holes in one round just annoying when you have to turn on your phone, unlock, mark your shot, etc etc. It hampers your routine. I could never bring myself to mark the whole lap. When playing game golf, all you have to remember is touching the grip with the belt. Telephone is not required. I forgot to mark 4 shots on my first round and the website made it painless to add those missed shots when checking the round. course card. The main tee was repaired on one hole, a short par 3. So we had to make the first shot at about 50 yards in the time tee box. I thought it would ruin the game of golf but the hit showed up well on the website from a passing tee shot. The only thing that confuses me a bit is that there is no way to introduce a penalty during the game. So I had to keep that in mind as I edited the round on the PC afterwards. I may try to mark each penalty twice, just as a reminder. The simplicity of this thing is a key feature. The application didn't feel like a routine.
