I bought this product hoping to use it with my LT5000D to use a plasma torch. However, I have found that the gas port on the LT5000D is larger than on the regular PT-31 torch head. This product feels more solid in hand than the LT5000D cutter despite the identical appearance. To use this with the LT5000D plasma torch you will need to replace the gas fitting with one that is compatible with the LT5000D gas line. If desired, you can modify the entire PT-31 burner assembly (including plumbing) to suit gas. and electrical connections on the LT5000D chassis.
