The cutting instructions call for a 1mm gap between the tip and the workpiece...well, my hands just aren't that stable. Plus, because the caster feet are adjustable, you can cut straight, square, or beveled edges.

I have a yellow "CUT 50" flea pick. The ceramic mug was broken, the insides were contaminated with slag, the switch was non-existent. The customization and installation took about half an hour. It works much better than the infected original. The switch could be better: it feels soft and sometimes my cut doesn't start and I have to readjust and start over.

Incorrect threading - metric thread here - it doesn't tighten properly before threading/skipping - other people have mentioned the same issue. Most "thread" machines require a fitting with a "standard" thread. I stole the correct fitting from some old equipment which I then reassembled. Only then did it work properly. Not worth all the hassle.

I bought this thinking the consumables would be more profitable. They would, but this thing is so hard to squeeze and hold while wearing welding gloves that I switched back to my plasma torch's original head. The plastic quality is terrible. The spatter from the plasma cutter hits it directly. (Which isn't the case with Amazon's original cheap plasma cutter.) I didn't install it until the return window popped up, so it's probably going in the trash.

I bought this plasma head for my lotos lt3500 because the consumables are too expensive. Just turn it off. And it worked great. With a little modification I wanted to use a Lotus gun case as I like the trigger on it. Here are some photos of how I converted it. I bought this product hoping to use it with my LT5000D to use a plasma torch. However, I have found that the gas port on the LT5000D is larger than on the regular PT-31 torch head. This product feels more solid in hand than the LT5000D cutter despite the identical appearance. To use this with the LT5000D plasma torch you will need to replace the gas fitting with one that is compatible with the LT5000D gas line.
