Review on Efficient And Secure Package Delivery With Step2 Express Box - Mocha, 31"H X 18"W X 23"D by Alejandro Dabney

Not sure how water gets into this box

We've had quite a bit of rain and that was one of the reasons for getting this box. The problem we're having is accumulation of over an inch of water in the bottom of the box, even though the lid is on. We do not want our packages sitting in water, obviously. There is a round vent at the bottom on one side and, we plugged it with plastic. Water was still getting inside. On closer inspection, we could see water dripping down the inside of the box from the top on all sides. This must mean water is getting in from under the lid, even though the lid sits atop a ridge, so you would assume the water should flow off the side of the lid and down the outside of the box -- but somehow it's flowing down the inside. Some form of capillary action, perhaps? Not sure. We like the idea of the box, and the UPS delivery person (though not FedEx or USPS) actually uses it. But it's disappointing that rain (and a substantial amount) gets inside. BTW, the box comes with websites for USPS, UPS, and FedEx where you're supposedly able to leave instructions online for the delivery person to please use the box but, the web addresses don't work. Nor were we able to sign up for the services and find a way to leave delivery instructions to use the box.
