These straws are sooooo pretty. I have ordered other paper straws where the gold is just flat "gold". It's shiny gold and bright bold prints. Pink is the light pink color of a flamingo. The gold isn't gone. Even leave it in a glass of red wine overnight. These are paper straws, they don't last more than 4.5-6 hours. This is common with other paper straws. Stirring drinks with ice weakens the structure, causing them to dissolve faster. They are easily biodegradable and should not be used all day. Great for any party, or like me, use them daily and use the cute straws when company comes around. With 4 designs in 2 colors, you get 8 different straws, great for pulling back to see who's drinking and who's eating. Will buy again. The box lasted four months.
