Too small - not suitable for 1999 Toyota Tacoma

Mirror too small for mirror mounting on the driver's side on 99 Toyota Tacoma (4 cyl. 4WD). The retaining ring can only hold one of the 4 edges. The other three sides have a pretty big gap. It should be at least 1/8" or 3/16" taller and wider. In fact, it's a complete failure. Everything else is fine, although I haven't used it yet because I'm not going to be that easy going with it. .
