I had an older pair of these that lasted for 5 years of constant winter wear. They are still super comfortable, but don't have the traction I need for walking to work. I am just starting to wear the new pair and as many reviewers have noted there are some challenges. The cut around the ankle is just a little higher than the old model and it does cut into my skin a bit. I am hoping this this dissipate over time. I am guessing they did this to provide better coverage from winter slop. They eliminated the pull tab from the heal and made the gores smaller in the front. The result is this shoe is harder to put on than the old ones. I guess they call these first world problems. The sizing is a bit bigger and I have a little slop in my step with the current socks. Oh well. Even with all of these changes, I will wear these every day and eventually love them as I have all my Keen shoes. My trusty old pair will be relegated to weekend duty around the house.
