I was delighted to receive this in the mail today, especially as I had to try it on my hair on the second day. Yesterday I dried and straightened my hair, so today is my second day of wearing it. At first I was surprised at how HUGE this comb is. It's huge. It was difficult for me to hold it because it's so big and bulky. Still excited so I decided to give it a try. I read the instructions, poured water into the tiny water tank, turned it on and hit the steam button. I'll let it warm up for a minute (not sure what you need). Then I started *trying* to run the comb through my hair. OH! I didn't brush my hair before I started because it's a brush! I scratched the pain on the side of my head before I couldn't take it anymore. I then brushed the other side of my hair before brushing it out with a hairbrush. My hair is straight again. but I feel like I can just brush through my hair and then use a flat iron to get just as good, if not better, results. Especially since I still have to comb my hair before using this device. Other things I noticed: This brush doesn't get very hot. It might work on fine hair, but if I ever used it on damp hair, it would ALWAYS cost me a job. - I could not tell if the steam was on or off the entire time I was using this product. I pressed the button, but then I didn't notice any steam, and there is no light or anything to indicate if the steam is on. Overall, this brush is a little disappointing. I will be using it for another month or two but really don't see why anyone would NEED this brush. For hair of the second day, a comb and a flat iron are suitable. It takes up so much space and seems like a waste of time. If I find this brush really makes my life easier I will update my review.
