I have 3b/3b natural hair so to be honest I didn't have high hopes for this product. The first thing you'll notice is that this thing is huge. Aside from the brush being wide (which is actually a good thing), the handle looks massive and chunky. Although I'm not sure if the handle would be small, it would be good for storing water. So this brush does a great job on my fine textured bleached hair - when I need to buff my hair on the second day. I have mixed feelings about this Revlon Salon Smooth & Shine Hair Styler. My hair is fairly short, 2 to 4 inches depending on the area of my head. He's also a bit thin. I can usually dry my hair in less than 2 minutes with a regular blow dryer and use a round brush with my other hand to give it volume and some shape. After that, I finish it off with a curling iron. Update: After a few weeks of consistent use I've decided I really like the end result. My previous rating stands. I find it awkward and still injure myself using it to style my hair because the bristles are so heavy and stiff. But I love how straight my hair looks every time I use it so I'm upgrading it to 4 stars and attaching a photo of my hair. The bottom line is that your hair is 80% dry. This hair dryer/styler is a great concept. I love its versatility - it can be used on both freshly washed hair and hair that was washed yesterday. If you've just got out of the shower, it's a good idea to towel dry your hair and maybe let it air dry a bit. This isn't a problem for me as I usually put on my makeup before I blow dry my hair. I tried Revlon Smooth and Shine to make my hair dry and smooth. I'm African American with 4c natural hair so I feel this product should be kept away. I also usually limit my exposure to heat to air drying. However, I have used this product to give my hair a better smoothness after washing and conditioning.
