NO ERROR. Have you ever read a tape upside down and written 5/8 instead of 3/8? You can't do that with this band. I'm not keen on the labeling; The cleat spacing is very well marked at 16 inch intervals, however the FOOT markings are small and not easily distinguishable from other markings. Other reviewers have so far been unsatisfied with the durability. I find the mechanism works well, is easy to remove and locks securely. , there is a pencil sharpener-XA that doesn't fit a carpenter's pencil. What do you all mean? The question was asked about the width of the case, here is a photo with approximate measurements (+/- 1/32). odd shape gives different readings, see details. Generally positive! I really appreciate the left-right scale but would have preferred 1/16th in marks for the first 6 inches or so and better leg readings. The price is great if it lasts a long time.
