Review on ThermoPro Wireless Digital Thermometer Grilling by Richard Cuneo

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Failed after 4 months, I have a warranty but no response from the seller (a few weeks have passed)

I initially signed up for a 3 year warranty and contacted them about the defective unit and contacted NOTHING heard in the last few weeks. It was great until it was gone. The probe is now registering nearly 200 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors. It's never been dropped or otherwise damaged, so there's no explanation as to why the thermometer reads so high when it's not inserted into anything. I've used it for smoking meats and in my home oven, so no crazy high temps. To make matters worse, you can only connect the wired sensor to a small remote device (which might be the faulty part here). I could get away with just using an earpiece, but I can't put the probe cord in this (big) block - there's a hole for a jack, but no jack. Ah, the economy. I've included photos and a red rectangle around the socket on the main unit which should be able to receive the sensor in the event of a malfunction on the remote (smaller) unit. However, the BIGGEST disappointment here is the lack of communication with the supplier (iTronics) after registering for the 3 year warranty. I had it for about 4 months when it stopped working properly.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Security
