I have a 95 F250 7.3L diesel and have owned it for about 8-10 years. I've always had problems starting, especially in winter, even with the parking heater. The starter has always had trouble turning. I have two 860 CCA batteries which should be more than enough. Anyway, I have a snow blower attached to the truck and the batteries are great for that. About two weeks ago the starter started turning but then died. I changed the solenoid valve but it didn't help. After some research I decided to give this high torque starter a try. OMG, this starter is amazing. It's a lot heavier and stronger than the original poop I pulled from the car. It sounds amazing too, turns and starts the truck right away and I could swear this starter is on steroids. I don't usually mess with items that are difficult to replace, but in this case I'm glad I did. I don't know about durability but looks and sounds suggest this starter should last a long time. I highly recommend. It's been almost a year (02/27/2020) and the launch is going well. I still love flipping a truck. After all these years of a crappy OEM starter, I still get the cheap pleasure of starting a truck. Oh, the simple things in life.
