That works much better than sealing the letter box with a piece of bubble wrap in winter. The cloth bag covers the mail slot and does a good job of keeping cold air out of the hallway (you can feel the cold air if you touch the bag, but it doesn't get into the room). And the bag catches all mail nice and tidy (and you can get it easily, too). So when we go into the house now, we don't step on the mail, it doesn't crumple when the door goes over it, and the mail doesn't get wet from our dirty boots. It's a shame I didn't discover this product sooner. I never knew it existed until I researched online how to winterize your mailbox.
