Review on Leak-Proof Regular Mouth Ball Mason Jar Lids - Standard Size Caps for Mason Jars by Robert Hunter

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not sealed! suitable for crockery

These lids are leaking. They do the job of storing things in the fridge or freezer and preventing a mess if you accidentally tip something over before putting it back up straight away, but if the glass is squeezed at all it will leak; There is no gasket in the lid, so you never get a tight seal. I use jars to take my lunch to work (usually soup) so I need a 100% airtight lid as jars collide in my lunch bag on the way to work. So far I've found that the iLids brand lids are the only ones that are 100% sealed (and even have a removable gasket that can be cleaned!). These lids are slightly better than the white storage lids that Ball has been selling on the market for years, but they are not as advertised.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Not the best
