Not sealed! suitable for crockery

These lids are leaking. They do the job of storing things in the fridge or freezer and preventing a mess if you accidentally tip something over before putting it back up straight away, but if the glass is squeezed at all it will leak; There is no gasket in the lid, so you never get a tight seal. I use jars to take my lunch to work (usually soup) so I need a 100% airtight lid as jars collide in my lunch bag on the way to work. leaking in dishes

Unfortunately I did not use these lids on liquid jars before the return date. I tested three of the six in the pack on a pint can of Kerr. All three merged. I then tried the lids on a ball jar of the same size and they didn't leak. Testing with a second can of Ball resulted in some dripping at first, but it quickly stopped. Additional testing on a 1 liter can of bullets revealed occasional drips or a steady stream when the can was tipped. So if you buy them, test your jars before using these…

Highly recommended - I've tried them all

I've searched and searched and finally found something that works damn well alongside two piece lids. They are particularly good because they have no seal. Another lid that I highly recommend is the County Line Kitchen flip top lids. They expand and contract whether used in the pantry or in the fridge. Worst when they shrink in the can and you have to unscrew them (lids that look like screw heads) to remove them. The next important feature I need is washability. Some of them are great but they…
