3 Years No Problem

I have this in my 2013 Ford Focus SE installed is already 3 years old. I left it installed when I traded a 2013 SE for a 2017 Focus ST last week. I just bought another one to put in my new car but this review is for my first one. Zero issues in 3 years but I will say that in all 3 years I have very rarely unplugged USB cables. One port for my DVR, one for my phone charger. As for the installation. If you don't know what you're doing, it can be a little tricky. I installed it to the left of the steering wheel, in some unused plastic that had plenty of room behind it. It took some time drilling into the plastic and a bit of grinding/sanding to get the hole the right size, but I was able to make it very tight in the end. As for the wiring, I already knew what power source I wanted to connect to. My factory cigarette lighter socket turned on as soon as the car was unlocked and stayed on for up to 30 minutes after the car was turned off and locked. So I cut the wires on the device and spliced longer wires to connect to this power supply. Then I hid and pulled the wires out of the way and I was good to go. A fuse or something like that never blew, even if the dash cam and the iPhone constantly consumed power at the same time. 2017 Focus ST is back soon. I will post a new review or edit this a bit to report how the new one works.
