Nice little scope. I bought it mainly to take with me when hiking/hiking since it's small pocket size and very light weight. I lent the scope to a friend for a few minutes and she was amazed at how well she could see with it. It has good ergonomics, the optics are clear and fairly sharp throughout the field of view. Things are in focus from about 10-12 feet to infinity. (Note: you need both hands to hold it and turn the focus ring.) The removal is short - I have to take my glasses off to use them and I have to get them very close to my eye for the full field of view to see . .I've only had it for a few days but so far its construction has proven to be very solid. I've used it for a variety of purposes: bird watching, wildlife spotting, plane spotting, parachute spotting, astronomy (we've been lunar viewing and we've been able to see several moons of Jupiter with it too), general area surveying. , target shooting and even watching a girl (it's so little that sometimes I can secretly do it!). Needless to say I enjoy it and it was certainly a benefit. It has a smaller field of view than scopes with larger lenses, but that's to be expected. The $20 price was good. This will definitely make a good gift. Someone asked if there was Bak-4 glass in it - from what I understand from the information on the website, there isn't. It's designed to be waterproof and fogproof and sooner or later I plan to see how good it is.
