I know there are cheaper cold brew coffee makers out there and this is the first machine I've bought for cold brew coffee. However, the quality of this simple device is immediately apparent as soon as you start unpacking. It's a very well built unit, easy to clean and takes up very little space in your fridge. I made and started drinking my first iced coffee. I used Stone Street Coffee Cold Brew Reserve, coarsely ground single-origin Colombian coffee, and followed Kitchenaid's directions exactly. I left the coffee in the fridge (yes, in the fridge, not on the counter) for 23 hours to brew because I just couldn't wait any longer. Cold brew is amazing! I really like the Starbucks cold drink and thought it would be hard to compare. But it competes loosely and loosely with Starbucks coffee. I have bought other coffees and will leave comments when I try them. So far, my first brew with this coffee has turned out perfect. Rich, smooth, full of flavor.
