For the price this camera is very good. I was really surprised how fast the auto focus is compared to my D 3000. I've been doing panning recently and the autofocus worked well enough for this type of difficult photography. fps is a bit slow but I knew that before buying the camera. Many of the functions and buttons are more intuitive on this camera than on my d3000. The autofocus speed in Live View mode is a bit slow, but I don't use this feature, it consumes much more battery power. bought for this camera is pure nikon quality. It's not as fast and doesn't have as many fancy features as the professional line scan cameras, but if you're on a tight budget and know how to use your camera properly, this camera can do anything between cameras. This camera uses all of my previous Nikon mount lenses, which is a great Nikon feature. I would prefer d610 or d 7200 yes but I don't have a budget of $1500-2000. This camera body cost $233. So now I have two working Bonnie cameras to help me get through. I'm saving for more expensive Pro models. Also, the shipping from Revain was great and I received the camera within 2 days.
