Review on πŸ’§ Kerick Valve M252 Float Mount: Efficient Solution for Float Control Systems by Justin Rasmussen

Great device for DIY automatic coffee tank filling

I have this device in my Mr. Valve at the top of the coffee maker's water tank. I was initially concerned about the lack of float adjustment, but that's a quick fix. The threaded portion of the valve assembly contains very coarse threads designed to grip the plastic of the float rather than thread or screw into the float. After seeing this, I simply drilled another hole in the float at a 90 degree angle to the float's existing mounting point so that the new hole actually intersects the factory mounting hole. This now allows me to mount the float on the valve at a 90 degree angle to the original mounting position, which allows the valve to be mounted vertically but still function properly. After installing and aligning everything as needed, I drilled a very small (1/32 inch) hole at the float and valve attachment points to place a cotter pin to lock everything in place. Works perfectly. Regardless of my excitement, this is a good product. The 1/4" hose connector doesn't leak and the plastic is durable. I've only had it installed for a few days, but again, so far so good. Really good find for the project.
