This is a relatively inexpensive camera with a large field of view. I find the wide angle useful when my wife and I are side by side in a Zoom meeting: we don't all have to be together to get in sight. The webcam image is greatly enhanced using Nexigo's webcam software, which can be downloaded from their website. . At that time, I needed an updated software for Windows 10, which was provided to me by the support team. This software allows me to customize the image to my liking. The settings are stored in the camera and appear to be retained after a power failure. Different settings can be saved in different files to be used later in different lighting situations or for different effects. The software works in tandem with Zoom (and presumably other apps) so the image can be dynamically adjusted during the meeting if needed. I wouldn't rate the camera as highly if it weren't for the ability to switch images. The ring light has three levels of brightness that I could dynamically change by touching the ring around the lens. I've found ring light to be useful for removing shadows on the face due to different lighting conditions in the room. I tried the camera in a dark room with low light compensation auto zoom. Without ring illumination, the facial image was too dark. This was acceptable when the ring light was set to level 2. The ring light is bright, so some eyes may get strained in a dark room. The microphone picks up voices in the room well and eliminates some flat background noise. This is better than the built-in system microphone on my PC and is the preferred choice when my standalone speaker is not available. The camera has some great features that I love, especially for the relatively low price. I mainly use this webcam for home/office zoom meetings. I prefer another webcam which I have used due to its wider field of view. The wide angle also makes it a handy, affordable all-in-one webcam for our infrequent meetings with a small number of people in the room. Our infrequent meetings require no investment in a more expensive webcam. Since the meetings will be held by several other people, an easy-to-use camera is required and if damaged through mishandling, it can be very expensive to lose.
