I bought this NOAA radio as a birthday gift and the receiver loves the size, weight, volume and brightness of the light. The first radio I got didn't work properly (everything worked except the radio). I emailed the seller, answered a few questions, and received a replacement in less than three days. The new one works as it should in every respect and the recipient is delighted. I chose this one because it looks great, runs on regular batteries and can be charged in a variety of ways. These features and the excellent customer service make this little radio worth the money for me.
