Review on 🌬️ Mann-Filter CUK29005 HVAC Cabin Air Filter by Jacob Fish

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect fit - like Mercedes OEM

I replaced the charcoal cabin filter on my Mercedes SL550 today after driving 16,000 miles, this CUK 29005 fits perfectly and is identical to the original filter which I removed which also man CUK was. 29005. The filter is located under the panel under the glove box. Here's how: slide the passenger carpet under the dash, fold it back and lay it on the floor, unscrew the two Torx screws (Torx25) on the front edge of the trim (I understand other models may have three screws, mine has two and one friction fastener in the middle. Gently pull down and slide down the right side first. This is inconvenient. You need to gently bend the panel on the right side. If you don't pull the carpet down first pull it back up and now pull it back in. Back of panel, light, temperature sensor and power outlet. See photo for back of panel with cables and connectors shown in yellow, left side screw location and center latch circled in red Once cables are disconnected, remove the panel on the right (represented by red arrow) This slide might be a little sticky mei ner war Pull down the filter after moving the slide (you can remove the white slide when it falls). Cheers to installing the new filter, other reviews said to use the old white holder, the new one didn't fit, mine worked fine. It was difficult to adjust the position to the left, a tight fit, and you need to make sure the filter fits snugly in the filter housing. Take your time, and being able to do this in plenty of daylight makes the job easier. I also replaced two engine air filters with a Mann C3397, it was the same case the OEM filter is perfect. Be sure to order two of these engine air filters if you have a twin turbo V8. You only need a cabin filter.
