I took the Godiag GD201 OBD2 scanner because there are many drivers and many cars in our house. My wife's car had intermittent problems, but every time we took it to the shop for service they were unable to reproduce the problem. It wastes a lot of time and makes you feel like you're going insane. So I hoped this would help us better understand the problem and communicate with the mechanics in the shop. The scanner is a bit better than I expected when I asked about it. It's solid, well built, and feels like a quality tool in your hand. The fit and finish is good with no rough edges or signs of cheap workmanship. VIN lookup is a nice feature that quickly identifies vehicles to ensure accurate diagnosis. Updates are quick and easy, as are resets. My youngest son is responsible for changing the oil in our cars and it's nice to be able to reset the lights afterwards. The screen and controls are large and easy to read/use. My 46 year old eyes really appreciate it. I haven't delved into the datagraphic aspects yet, but I plan to explore them at some point. After all, I'm not a mechanic and I don't want to be. I don't have the skills or patience for that. However, it has allowed me to better understand what is going on with my vehicles and saved time and money in the workshop. I definitely recommend it.
