RRS (Really Right Stuff) Makes some of the finest ball heads in the world and their BH-25 is the blueprint for this superb replica. RRS sells their US-made BH-25s for around $150. Fotobetter manufactures its LBH-25 in China, which significantly reduces costs while maintaining high quality. You can get six of these for the price of one RRS BH-25. All my photo equipment is professional quality with brands like Cannon, Kirk, RRS, Wimberley etc. You can actually see that I used a Wimberley plate instead of the short plate that comes with this ball head. I'm an electrician by trade and needed a lightweight ball head to support my line level laser (which weighs 1.0 pounds). The RRS model would have been my first choice if it weren't for the price and the harsh, dirty conditions we sometimes work in. The Fotobetter product fits well because when it gets hit I don't feel too bad. It's surprisingly well made, well finished and firmly assembled. It comes with a very small camera plate which I immediately replaced with a much longer Wimberley plate (Revain sells this as well as other copies of the Arca-Swiss model). If you're planning on entertaining a small camera or want to use one to hold a phone clip, this is great. I wouldn't dare put a heavy DSLR body and large lens on such a small ball head, but it's perfect for a small mirrorless camera and a lightweight travel tripod. All in all, this is a beautifully made product at a surprisingly low price. I don't think you can go wrong with this item unless you're trying to use it to support something too heavy. Highly recommended.
