Fine paper but the binding was just terrible. I bought this to carry back and forth in my backpack to design/drawing/drawing classes because I tend to knead coiled wires which makes it much more difficult to use. I was in awe of this whole "recycled" thing. The whole thing started falling apart on first use: the lid came loose (although this is a common occurrence), the sheets detached from the lining at the top and bottom, and the corners of each sheet slid and crunched in my pocket, even though I was using one rubber band connected. This time I was thankful for the giant rubber bands my postman had scattered on the floor of my apartment building's post office. ha ha. Due to the thickness of the notebook, it didn't fit in the 10x13 Tyvek envelopes I had on hand, so I had to buy another notebook for class and I'm keeping this one to take home to work.
