Overall this paper is good. It's quite thin and slightly off-white in color. The markings may show through a little. I haven't tried wet materials yet, but that's what you buy for pens, markers, etc., not for drawing. I intend to put this paper, once drawn, into a more expensive sketchbook with non-white pages. It is not spirally connected. Pages come out at the slightest tension.

I was looking for a drawing pad for my 4-year-old son that met two specific requirements: 1. Pages tear out easily and cleanly2. The paper was of decent quality. Condition 1 was important because my son cried when he tried to take pages from his previous drawing pad when the paper didn't come off cleanly leaving a jagged edge. Fine paper but the binding was just terrible. I bought this to carry back and forth in my backpack to design/drawing/drawing classes because I tend to knead coiled wires which makes it much more difficult to use.
