Replacement UV Lamp!+ Advertised - Treats up to 10,000 square feet.+ Advertised - Two 16" 36W, 254 Nm UV lamps, 120V 6ft power cord.+ Advertised - LED indicators confirm proper operation. β—„ Read See more below.+ Promoted - Installs in minutes, step-by-step instructions with pictures.+ Promoted - OS7212 - OdorStop UV Air Purifier 72W. 12" UV lamps for installation in single depth ducts available under 16".+ Advertised - 2 year limited warranty. Cons: - Required 2-1/2" hole saw not included. I bought this one which worked great!: LANIAKEA 2-1/2" Bi-Metal Hole Saw 64mm M42 HSS Hole Saw Variable Pitch Hole Saw Kit, DIY Blue Tooth Adjustment - UV Lamp Life is 13,000 hrs 8760 Hours (1 year) + 4380 hours (1/2 year) = 13,140 hours UV lamp life is a little less than 1-1/2 years assuming you use it constantly, always on like we did - The guide recommends replacing the UV bulb every year, which costs $35.99 each!Part of our garage.!- Is there an error or assembly error in the manual on page 6 of the unit I received? The LED that corresponds to the power switch is not as specified in the troubleshooting instructions for the UV lamp closest to the power switch - Made in China β—„ For those who prefer to buy goods from the USA Notes on the X-10 home automation system : β–ͺ This device is equipped with a dual electronic ballast that has no mains noise filter, so it generates and sends a significant amount of noise onto the AC line! If you have an X-10 home automation system, line noise will be an issue. β–ͺ The AC line noise baseline was 60 mV. less is better. With the UV lamp running, the AC line noise jumped to 175 mV noise. When both UV lamps were in operation, the mains noise measured was 310 mV mains noise! β—„ Photos are attached but they were messed up when uploading for this review. β–ͺ On the plus side, although expensive, the addition of the X-10 AF100 plug-in noise filter module prevents the electronic ballast nose from penetrating the air conditioner. Final Notes: β–ͺ Installation wasn't too difficult, cutting holes was a little tricky as this is my first time using a hole saw to cut metal. β—„ The device has a slight placement error, so place the stencil carefully to make sure the holes are positioned correctly! β–ͺ During a function test prior to installation, the UV lamps gave off a slight odor of ozone. After installing the UV system, there is no odor of ozone. β–ͺ Again, I don't like very bright LEDs. I can change them to reduce light output. β–ͺ If this UV air purification system continues to work without problems, I will come back to give my product a higher rating. Updates: β–Ί December 21, 2020 β–ͺ The UV unit worked perfectly! We noticed that cooking smells, e.g. B. when baking cakes, apparently quickly disappear! β–Ί 06/14/2021 β–ͺ The UV lamp worked and continues to work without problems. β–ͺ I have decided to eliminate the too bright(e) on the LEDs as it has been bothering me since installing the device! I decided not to tamper with the wiring as I wasn't entirely sure the LEDs were just an indicator. Could they be part of the electronic UV ballast circuitry? I opted for a "diffuser" over the LED, which made the overly bright LED light more bearable. I've attached a picture of the added LED diffuser. I should note that usually only one indicator LED is lit. The area of our house only needs one UV lamp, so the other UV lamp is a spare and not installed.
