Converting an old PC to a FreeNAS box and wanted to find a better solution to fit a Keeping a spare drive in the system instead of just hanging it outside in the PC case. Bought this Orico HDD Bracket (B01LZWX6PD) together with StarTech 3.5 Hot Swap HDD Rack (HSB100SATBK). Installed a hot-swappable rack in the system, put the SSD in the bracket and plugged the whole thing into the PC with no problems. . At first I thought I might hit a snag since the mounting bracket was a bit shorter than a "regular" hard drive, but those concerns quickly faded. The installation went pretty smoothly and the PC recognized the Kingston SSD I placed in the bracket with no problems. I also think it's good that I can simply swap out the drive if necessary without opening the case. I will have no problem repurchasing this setup should the need arise. While not strictly necessary, this solution was worth spending a few extra bucks.
